Citizenship Foundation
The Citizenship Foundation aims to empower individuals to engage in the wider community through education about the law, democracy and society. The organisation focuses particularly on developing young people’s citizenship skills, knowledge and understanding. The website contains ideas for teaching about democracy and governance.

President for A Day Resource
An innovative CD-ROM resource provides a great hands-on way to introduce young people to challenges faced by many African governments. The CD is a game which asks young people to become the leader of a fictional African country. It presents several challenges and questions through three special advisors, who present reports about whether to borrow money, whether to buy arms, and other important decisions.

Young People's Commission for Africa website - the outcome of a project which linked 25 UK schools with 25 schools in Africa between January and June 2005. The teacher resources section contains fact sheets and lesson plans/ideas.
