Who Rules the World
A secondary multimedia resource from the International Broadcasting Trust. Explores issues relating to the world as a global community and provides insight into how international institutions work and behave. The resource includes a website, two videos, accompanying booklet, teachers notes and classroom activities. Part I raises questions about power and how the international community should respond to global issues. Part 2 takes a probing look at the United Nations and the dilemmas the UN has faced in carrying out its humanitarian, peacekeeping and development roles, focusing on the 1994 genocide in Rwanda and civil war in Angola.

Making Sense of World Conflicts
Web pages from Oxfam exploring the changing nature of conflict and the connections between conflict and poverty. This resource draws an case studies of different conflicts, poetry, photographs, media reports, personal testimonies, country information and statistics. Two classroom activities are provided offering ideas for role-play, debate, and examining evidence.

War and Peace
This resource pack from Christian Aid has been designed for youth groups but could be suitable for a class discussing the theme of war. The booklet includes four case studies from Iraq, Israel/Occupied Palestinian Territories, Sierra Leone and Brazil, with follow on activities. The activities are short (between 5 and 20 minutes each) and include discussion and writing tasks.

Young People's Commission for Africa website - the outcome of a project which linked 25 UK schools with 25 schools in Africa between January and June 2005. The teacher resources section contains fact sheets and lesson plans/ideas.
